Creature (WCBB 2023)

Creature is a neurodivergent, disabled, genderqueer Leather Goblin whose main love in the kink world is everything to do with boots! Creature uses they/them pronouns.

They are the Western Canadian Bootblack 2023, and have been bootblacking for just under 8 years. Creature has been in the kink community for 9 years, where they started their journey as a bottom and a masochist. Throughout the years they have become more of a top, but their heart still thrives when they are able to provide service to those that they care about and especially to the greater kink community.

One thing I really strive to work on as a human and especially in my kink life, is intersectionality. something Covid-19 and the past few years has taught me is that I really need to be more aware of the intersections of people’s daily life experiences. It is something that I have worked a lot on and it is something that I am very committed to continue to work on.

As I become more aware of the intersections of different life experiences, it is clear that there are many barriers faced at the intersection of Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour, and kink. There are a lot of barriers that BIPOC communities face due to white supremacy and systemic racism- those barriers don’t go away when people within those communities enter the BDSM/kink community.

One very small thing that I would like to do with my WCBB title year and continue on after my title year has ended, is start a fund for tickets to kink events in North America that will go specifically to folks who identify themselves as a part of the BIPOC community/communities.
